St Nick’s market in Bristol is hosting a Christmas Grotto this year, in addition to its market. The market team said: “Ho Ho Ho – this year we have a St Nick’s Christmas Grotto.

“St Nick has decided to return to the market after a long winter making gifts with the elves – and his calendar is starting to fill up! If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids to visit Santa and receive their gift from the main man himself, where better than St Nick’s in the heart of the Old City?”

On the official St Nicholas Markets website, you can book for up to four children at a time, with a calendar of dates and session times still available. Dates run all the way up to 2.50pm on Christmas Eve.

Fans and those who have already visited the grotto were quick to share their thoughts. One said: “We did this unexpectedly as we didn’t know it was there. It was really lovely if anyone wanted to go, and pretty reasonable at £7 plus a gift.

“Santa and Elves were really nice, we didn’t feel rushed. They take photos for keepsakes which is extra.”

The Christmas grotto comes as St Nick’s Christmas Market takes place everyday. This year’s Christmas Market features chalets, twinkling trees and an array of items – from homeware, clothing, gifts and food.

The St Nick’s Christmas Market opens Monday to Friday (9.30am-5pm), Saturdays (9.30am-6pm) and Sundays (10am-4pm). On Christmas Eve, the market will close at 3pm.
