A crash at a Greater Manchester junction left a car on its side. Emergency services were called to a three-car collision at the junction of Cheetham Hill Road and Tame Street in Dukinfield at around 1pm on Friday (December 5).

Pictures shared to social media showed a white car turned on its side. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At shortly after 1pm on Friday (December 5) two fire engines from Stalybridge and Ashton fire stations were called to a crash involving three cars on High Street, Stalybridge.

“Firefighters rescued one person from one of the vehicles before handing them to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. Crews made the vehicles and area safe and were in attendance for around 40 minutes.”

The road was closed for close to an hour as emergency services tended to the scene. Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for a comment on the incident.
