A tight turnaround between Leeds United’s triumph over Chelsea, and their clash with Liverpool tomorrow evening, means Daniel Farke is likely forced into changes.
Elland Road is expected to go again tomorrow evening when a second heavyweight makes their way to LS11 in the space of a few days.
Last time out, Leeds built on their 3-5-2 revelation against Manchester City with a likewise approach and system against Chelsea. The results were staggeringly good, and it bodes well for looking to claim another scalp.

Daniel Farke delivers Leeds United team news update ahead of Liverpool meeting
After such a frantic performance against Chelsea, where United made the away side look vastly inferior across the board, it’s bound to take a lot out of Daniel Farke’s squad.
So, to match that intensity against another elite side with eye-watering transfer value is a tall order. Farke, as a result, may have to take stock of his squad before selecting his team for Saturday night’s game.

In revealing his team news, he shared that both of his starting strikers on Wednesday, Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, need further assessment regarding load management.
“No fresh injury concerns, definitely [Dan] James and [Sean] Longstaff out, we need to take late decisions, Lukas Nmecha’s hamstring problems after the last games, Calvert-Lewin calf problems, players with lots of load over the last games, the wing back and the midfield,” Farke told the press, per the YEP.
“We need during this period the whole squad, especially when you have three games in a week, we have to go over the limit. Chelsea had yesterday their second highest physical output but our loads were unbelievable. There will be some late decisions but whoever is on the pitch will give everything.”
Noah Okafor set to start vs Liverpool with Leeds United forced into rotation
Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin put absolutely everything into that win against Chelsea. As a result, they weren’t able to complete 90 minutes, which is the current levels both players are at.
If Leeds are to continue playing a 3-5-2, which we absolutely should be, then it means one of these two has to drop out.
There’s no way they can keep up that level of intensity, pressing, and drive for a second game in four days. It means Noah Okafor has to start against Liverpool, over one of Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin.
For me, it would be Nmecha dropping out, even if he was brilliant again. The reason isn’t due to form. Instead, it’s purely on the basis that Calvert-Lewin, an ex-Everton man, will absolutely fancy himself against this stricken Liverpool side.
