Trams were suspended on one Metrolink line tonight (Saturday) due to ‘anti-social behaviour.’

No services operated between between Bury and Crumpsall on the Bury line.

The traffic service Inrix said this was due to a ‘passenger incident.’

The Bee Network clarified it was due to ‘anti-social behaviour.’

The Manchester Evening News understands objects were thrown at a tram, smashing a window and causing damage.

Metrolink tickets were accepted on local bus services.

Services resumed shortly before 8pm with some residual delays.
