Italian media were unanimous in their praise for Marcus Thuram after Inter Milan’s commanding 4-0 win over Como, with the France international earning one of the highest ratings of the match.

Corriere dello Sport placed him level with Cristian Chivu at the top of its report card, awarding both an 8 for their decisive impact at San Siro.

Chivu’s tactical plan won widespread admiration, with the newspaper highlighting how effectively he nullified Cesc Fabregas’ approach.

“He wrapped Fabregas up with high pressing and counter-pressing, leaving him with possession.” wrote CdS, underlining the clarity and discipline of Inter’s structure.

The Romanian coach has now overseen a run of increasingly assertive performances.

Indeed, this latest victory further enhances his reputation.
