The Finnieston pub is known for being brim-full of revellers keen to dance to Scottish trad music.

Hosting top trad bands like Gunna Sound and Eriskay Lilt, the boozer is a must-go for those looking for a dance in the city.

Now the pub, which has been a hub since 1895, was recognised at the annual MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards ceremony.

Announcing the prestigious award news on social media, the pub said: “Huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners at last night’s MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.

“What a wonderful night for the whole trad community.

“We are absolutely honoured to have been named Venue of the Year.

“Tapadh leibh to everyone who voted for us.

“The Park Bar has been a beating heart for traditional music in Glasgow for decades.

“Last night felt like a celebration of everything that keeps it alive – the history, the musicians, the staff, and those who’ve made the place a home from home for so many, over the years and now.

“A huge thank you to our incredible staff – your love for the place gives The Park Bar its soul.

“And to our amazing musicians, from the biggest names in trad to the students finding their voice on our wee ceilidh-corner stage – thank you for filling the room with ceòl week after week.

“Most of all, thank you to everyone who walks through our doors. This award belongs every bit as much to you – the whole community is what makes The Park Bar the special place it is.

“Mòran taing – here’s to many more nights of ceòl agus craic.”
