Air France continues to transform the travel experience at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport through a series of digital innovations and service enhancements designed to streamline every aspect of the passenger journey.
The airline’s most significant advancement is the Short Connection Pass, launched in August 2025 through a partnership with Groupe ADP. This automated system identifies passengers with tight connections and provides priority access at security checks and border control. When connection time falls below specific thresholds, travelers automatically receive SMS and email notifications informing them of their priority status, with WhatsApp and mobile app notifications coming soon.
Complementing this service, Air France introduced WhatsApp-based navigation assistance in February 2025 for connections at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol airports. Passengers who opt in receive personalized messages upon landing that include boarding gate information, estimated transfer times and step-by-step airport directions. Nearly 2,000 connecting passengers benefit from this service each month.

The airline has also enhanced accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility. Since March 2025, travelers using manual wheelchairs can keep them until boarding and retrieve them immediately upon disembarking, providing greater independence and comfort. Air France plans to extend this service to electric wheelchairs by year’s end. In 2024, more than 690,000 passengers with disabilities traveled with the carrier.
Digital convenience has been further improved through a new document submission tool that allows passengers to scan their passports or ID cards using their smartphone cameras during online check-in. Since launching in March 2025, more than 3 million documents have been processed using this feature, which reduces errors and saves time.
iOS users gained another innovation in December 2024 with real-time flight tracking on iPhone lock screens and Apple Watches, displaying boarding gates, departure times and arrival countdowns. Between 70,000 and 90,000 passengers use this feature daily.

To complement these technological advances, Air France has redesigned its lounge in Terminal 2E, Hall K. The expanded three-level facility now spans more than 2,800 square meters and accommodates 638 travelers, adding nearly 200 seats. Operating daily from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the lounge serves Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers with enhanced space and comfort.
