Armed police raced to the scene of a Birmingham property where a man was tragically found dead.
West Midlands Police said officers had been deployed to Ankermoor Close, in Shard End, at around 11.40am today, Monday, December 8.
Residents had earlier seen more than a dozen police vehicles and 20 officers on the normally quiet cul-de-sac. Detectives and forensic officers later attended the property.

Now the police force has said the man’s death is “not being treated as suspicious”. A file will be prepared for a Birmingham and Solihull coroner in due course.

A police spokesperson had earlier told BirminghamLive: “We were called to Ankermoor Close, Birmingham, at 11.40am today after the body of a man was found at an address.
“Officers are in the area carrying out enquiries as we try to establish the circumstances around the man’s death.
“Anyone with more information can call 101 quoting log 1911 of December 8.”
A resident who lives a couple of doors away was out walking her dog when was stopped by police and they asked to look at her doorbell camera footage.
She told BirminghamLive: “Nothing goes on. It’s very, very quiet in this road.
To have something drastic like that, it’s quite frightening really.

“You get up in the morning and know your routines and something drastic happens.”
Tom Sangster, 78, from Ankermoor Close said he saw two armed officers, one with a rifle in his hands and another with guns by his side.
He said there was an unmarked black car outside his home with its blue lights on.
“I have been living here since 2008. That’s the first time I have seen anything like it in my time here,” he told BirminghamLive
