A man has been charged after a truck ploughed into a luxury car showroom.

West Midlands Police was called at around 3.45pm on Sunday, December 7, after a pick-up truck smashed into Ryland Specialist Cars on Stratford Road, Hockley Heath.

A window of the nearby Wharf Tavern was also damaged and a number of people reported being threatened.

Alexander Rogers, 38, is accused of dangerous driving and criminal damage to the showroom and the vehicles inside.

He is also charged with criminal damage to the pub, possession of a bladed article and threatening people with a bladed article. He was due before city magistrates today, Tuesday, December 9.
