“Love Island USA” sends out casting call for Anchorage singles

  • 11 December 2025

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The hit dating show “Love Island USA” has begun casting for its next season, setting its sights on the Last Frontier.

“The team wants to hear from relatable, charismatic people from all walks of life — including those who may have never considered going on a dating show,” said publicist Natalie Russo in a press release.

Based on the British TV series of the same name, the dating competition follows hopeful singles living in a tropical villa near Fiji.

“Love Island became popular in the US, like, 2 summers ago,” said Luca Stella, a fan of the show who has applied to be a part of the next season.

“That season is when Ariana Maddox became the host.”

Stella said that his mother’s love for Maddox is what initially got him to watch the show before he fell in love with it himself.

“I considered wanting to apply after this last season,” he said.

“I figured after, by the time the next season’s airing, I’d be out of college. It seems like a very unique experience, and I felt like it’s an experience I wanted to be a part of.”

According to Stella, the application process was more than he expected: around 70 different questions he had to answer online.

“It asks you a whole bunch, from things like celebrity crushes or why you think you’re single, or your relationship with your parents.”

“It makes sense because, especially with the popularity that the show is gained, I can see, they definitely want to know exactly who they’re bringing on.”

Along with the questionnaire, Stella said he had to submit three photos of himself from the last year, along with a video introducing himself to producers.

Recent seasons of “Love Island USA” have seen social media influencers compete on the show rather than people from all walks of life.

“I feel like the bigger you are, the easier it is to get on,” Stella said.

“But I think if you’re a good enough personality and character and they think you’re gonna be good TV, then I feel like, why not?”

Think you have what it takes? Applications for the show can be found at loveislandusa.castingcrane.com.

If you want to nominate a friend or family member, submissions are accepted at LoveIslandUSACasting@ITV.com.
