  • Do you love waterfalls? Then you’ll love paying Pistyll Rhaeadr a visit on the first stop of your adventure. Known as Wales’ highest waterfall, this enchanting natural temple is nestled in the Berwyn Mountains. Whether you fancy making a pitstop to have a coffee or a short walk to the top of the falls, you must pay a visit here.
  • Next stop has to be Llynnau Cregennen which is considered an easy hike that covers 5.6km. Located in Gwynedd, this spot is within the southern part of Snowdonia National Park, on the northern slopes of Cadair Idris. They are situated about five miles from the town of Dolgellau.
  • Time for another hike, then you must visit Llyn Idwal which is a small lake that lies within Cwm Idwal in the Glyderau mountains of Snowdonia. It could 2 hours to walk around Llyn Idwal and many social media users claim it’s fairly easy for the reward.
  • One couple who have done the most scenic Wales road trip loved visiting Llanberis Pass and think you should too! You might recognise it from many car adverts and it’s popular for plenty of road trips. It could take approximately 5-8 hours for a round trip, with 7 hours being a common estimate.
  • The Lonely Tree is a beautiful location on the edge Llyn Padarn which is great for people who love a bit of paddle boarding. What’s special about this tree is that it was voted Welsh Tree of the Year for 2014 and finished 10th in the European Tree of the Year awards for 2015.
  • Another must-visit location is Parys Mountain which is a former copper mine known for its beautiful colours. It’s gorgeous at any time of the year, but more so in the sun. It’s a great spot for a good walk around.
  • Next up on the list is the South Stack House Lighthouse which is on the island of Anglesey. It’s an RSPB Nature Reserve and visitors may tour the former lighthouse engine room before climbing to the top of the lighthouse.
  • And finally, Church Bay, a beautiful beach located between Carmel Head and Holy Island on the northwest of Anglesey. The bay shores might be a little bit rocky but there is also a sandy beach which is incredibly popular among visitors.
