Andrew Pierce has announced his departure from Good Morning Britain in an emotional message posted on social media.
The GB News presenter, who regularly features in discussions on the ITV programme, used X to make the announcement official.
Responding to media speculation about his potential exit from the show, Andrew stated, “Not a suggestion. It’s a fact, next week sadly is my last on @gmb, but viewers can tune in to see me presenting on @GBNEWS from 9.30am Monday to Thursday.”
Supporters were quick to flood the comments with well-wishes for the television personality. One follower posted, “As long as your podcast with @Kevin_Maguire is continuing.
“Why?” another questioned, whilst a third commented, “I don’t know a lot about politics, but I always thought the pairing of you and Kevin Maguire was entertaining. Good luck in your next role.”
A further viewer remarked, “Well, Mr Pierce, even though I don’t agree with anything you say, I do appreciate your different opinions, and want to wish you all the best.”

Another wrote, “Will miss you. The banter between you & Maguire has me ranting at the telly most mornings. But shows you, you can have differing opinions yet still be good mates. Good Luck.”
One admirer repeated, “Will miss you, Andrew, on GMB, loved the ‘banter’ between you and Kevin. Good luck on GB News.”
During Wednesday’s edition of GMB, Andrew suggested his departure from the ITV programme whilst speaking with presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley. Susanna inquired if Andrew and Kevin interact with the public in their everyday lives, prompting Andrew to humorously remark that people frequently “shout at him” about Kevin.
“They all say, ‘Is he as bad in real life as he is on the show?’ I say, ‘Yes, he is actually’,” Andrew quipped.

Susanna went on to suggest that people probably wonder if they’re genuinely mates off-screen despite their heated on-air debates. Both nodded as Kevin chimed in: “You can disagree without being disagreeable all the time. Other people ask why I don’t hit him or how I put up with him.”
This prompted Richard to enquire about the duration of their partnership on the programme, with Kevin disclosing it had been approximately eight to 10 years.
“Since the beginning,” Susanna observed. “Not for much longer, sadly,” Andrew went on to say.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
