Two men have been taken to hospital following a blaze at a flat in the centre of Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Heriot Bridge in the city’s Old Town following reports of a fire this morning, Thursday, December 11 at around 10.30.
The Grassmarket was closed for a time while emergency services dealt with the incident, but later reopened.
Police Scotland said that two men were taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers said the blaze is not being treated as suspicious.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
