Dudley, Santa’s not the only one coming to town,” Wendy’s posted, adding: “Get ready”.

Wendy’s was founded back in 1969 and is known for its ‘fresh, never frozen’ beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and tenders and more.

Perhaps moreover, the brand is known for its signature Baconator burgers, with the breakfast menu also featuring the option along with the bacon, sausage and vegetarian classics.

After the announcement was made, shoppers shared their excitement online.

Andrew Lowe-Jones commented: “Woo hoo! Been waiting ages for this!!”

Wendy’s opened its first West Midlands branch back in September when it arrived in Solihull’s Touchwood Shopping Centre.

Its move to Merry Hill was no secret, with the business actively recruiting new staff at the venue.
