A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after being seriously injured in a South Bristol crash.
The collision involved a silver Ford Fiesta and a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Hartcliffe Way – a key route between Bedminster and the A4174 ring road.
It happened at 4.30pm on Wednesday (December 10). The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured. Avon and Somerset police has now launched an appeal for witnesses to help with its investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: “As part of our investigation, we’re now urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dashcam footage of it and the moments leading up to it to come forward.
“If you can help, call 101 using reference number 5225347062.”
Police did not state the exact location along Hartcliffe Way, which is more than a mile in length and varies in speed limit from 30mph in some areas to 40mph in others.
Traffic-monitoring site Inrix had reported on a crash that same afternoon on Hartcliffe Way eastbound, at the roundabout with the A4174 Hengrove Way.
This was reported slightly earlier, at about 4pm, and resulted in three lanes being closed. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.
