A man has been arrested following an assault in west Belfast that left one person needing treatment in hospital.
The PSNI responded to reports of an altercation between two men at a property in Glenbawn Park on Friday afternoon.
Officers received the call shortly after 12.30pm and attended the scene, and one man was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 29-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He remained in police custody on Friday evening.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 578 of 12/12/25.
