A man has been arrested and rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car crashed into another, then went on to hit a tree.
The crash happened overnight, and police closed Heywood Old Road, near Bowlee and the White Hart Pub at the junction with Langley Lane, in Rochdale. Eyewitnesses reported that police were at the scene in the early hours of this morning (December 14).
During the road traffic collision, a vehicle collided with another vehicle, and then hit a tree.
A male driver was arrested before being taken to hospital with serious injuries, the Manchester Evening News understands. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
