A former Love Island contestant from Liverpool is engaged.

Hayley Hughes has taken to Instagram to share a series of snaps from the lavish proposal, including pictures of her huge rock.

The blonde beauty took part in the fourth season of the ITV2 dating show back in 2018 which was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.

She wrote in the caption: “12/12 – my forever love. I love you so much.”

Hayley’s decided to keep her beau’s identity under wraps by tactfully keeping his face out of pictures and not tagging him.

Her son Cody, who was born in 2023, appears in the snaps and in one shot, Hayley partner can be seen holding the little boy in his arms.

Unsurprisingly, Hayley’s announcement has been inundated with messages of support from her followers.

Rosie Williams, who appeared in Love Island the same time series as Hayley, wrote: “Congratulations my girl! So happy for you.”

Love Islander Liberty Poole, who appeared on series seven, added: “Congratulations”

One follower penned: “Omg huge congratulationsssss. The ringgg. The flowerssssss.”

Another added: “Ahhh best news ever!! So happy for you, wifey era pending.”

Hayley starred on Love Island as an OG in 2018, but after failed romantic connections with Eyal Brooker who famously told her “I’m not your hun, hun” and Charlie Brake, she packed her bags.

She began dating DJ Tom Zanetti shortly after leaving the villa even starring in his music video, but the pair were over after seven months.

At the beginning of 2023, Hayley wrote about spending “another year” with her mystery man.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com after leaving the villa, Hayley said at the time: “I did really think that Eyal was a bit full on with Megan [Barton Hanson] so soon and he wouldn’t really let Alex [George] have a chance to get to know and speak to her.”

“Obviously I feel like I genuinely am Team Alex in every way because I genuinely want him to meet someone that he has a connection with, because he does have low confidence and things.”

Love Island is available to stream on ITVX
