Bradford Bulls have been very busy in recruitment this off-season, bringing in over a dozen new faces to the squad as they prepare for life in Super League.
The rest of their squad is made up of players who featured for them in Championship, and guided them to a semi-final place, where they were agonisingly beaten by Toulouse Olympique, who performed a dramatic second-half comeback.
The likes of Jayden Okunbor, Waqa Blake and Sam Hallas will be in the top flight next year, but one man who won’t be with the squad is prop forward Logan Bayliss-Brow.
That is because the Australian-born Scottish international has landed himself a short-term deal with an NRL club for the off-season.
Signing with Gold Coast Titans on a train-and-trial deal, Bayliss-Brow will have the opportunity to prove himself worthy of another chance at the NRL, after he failed to make a first-grade appearance when initially coming through the ranks down under.
The 26-year-old Queenslander was in the Mackay Cutters and Souths Logan setup a as a youngster, before he moved to Bradford half-way through 2024.
At the Bulls, he has made 34 appearances, but that will be all he features for the club, at least for the time being.
Also signing with the Titans on the same type of contract is Kyle Pickering, a member of Italy’s 2022 World Cup squad, and Dion Teaupa, who featured from the bench for Tonga in the 2023 series against England, among others.
Due to the other signings the club have announced, Bradford have one spot left on their quota, with nine overseas players signed up so far. That means that should his Titans opportunity not come to fruition, there is a potential for an Odsal return.
