A skatepark and pickleball court could be included in plans for a new £3.9m park in Surrey.
The site at Tanyard Meadows, in Horley, was chosen because of the area’s expanding population, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council said.
The new park could also feature an outdoor gym, a sports pavilion, children’s play areas, a tennis court and walking, running and cycling trails.
Council planning member, Kate Fairhurst, said in the last 20 years, 2,600 new homes had been built in Horley.
