FoodWise Leeds, the organisation which aims to create a healthy, sustainable and fair food system for everyone in Leeds, is mapping the city’s community food growing projects.
Over our side of the city we’ve got some fantastic community gardens, and FoodWise Leeds want to uncover whose growing what, where, and what support they need. For example there is a community orchard in Cross Flatts Park, Skelton Grange Environment Centre grow vegetables and the country’s longest community orchard stretches around the Cottingley Hall estate.
If you are involved in growing food, no matter how small scale, in a public place please fill out the survey at: forms.gle/6J3Bz58F54XBzLPf8?. The survey is not intended for private home gardens and allotments.
It will take less than 10 minutes to complete and by way of incentive, you will be entered into a raffle to win a £50 garden centre voucher. The survey is open until midnight on Sunday 18 January 2026.
