A rising star of the stage is up for a Broadway award — and your votes are needed to ensure they take home the top gong.
Eleni Chivers has been nominated for the BroadwayWorld UK/West End – Best Leading Performer in a New Production of a Musical.
Eleni has been nominated for their portrayal of Theo in ‘Theo in Between’ at the Leeds Carriageworks Theatre over the summer, and your vote is needed to ensure Eleni brings home the coveted award.

BroadwayWorld is the largest and most comprehensive theatre site and as of Tuesday (December 16), Eleni is currently tied for first place with West End singer and actress Lucie Jones, who competed on season six of The X Factor in the UK in 2009 and represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.
“To be nominated for Best Leading Performer against well known West End Actors is incredible,” Eleni said, “I didn’t expect it but I’m honoured to be acknowledged in this way.
“To win would mean so much and help enormously as I look to make acting a career. The support from the local community so far has been brilliant. Please keep voting!”

Eleni has lived in Newark since age of two, and has been in local musical productions with New Youth Theatre and Youth Music Theatre since they were five years old, as well as with British Youth Music Theatre for the past four years, performing in lead roles in hit musicals including Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, Grease and West Side Story.
Now in their final year of A-levels at Nottingham Girls High School, Eleni is looking to build a career in acting and has been training with The Television Workshop (Nottingham) for the past two years., a programme which has produced well known actors including Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey and Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure.
Eleni’s next role will be a lead in Youth Edition of Rent.
