While the council had already commented on the issue, Silva’s ward councillor Kola Agboola pressed Mayor Perry for a public apology and explanation at last week’s full council meeting (December 10). Cllr Agboola, who revealed the saga had unleashed “a wave of online abuse” against himself, local residents and the parking warden, also demanded assurances that similar incidents would not be repeated.
