Liverpool are set to earn just under £260million in prize money after claiming the Premier League title, sources have told Football Insider.

Arne Slot led his side to the title in his first season at Anfield following their emphatic 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday (27 April).

The Merseyside giants have brought four consecutive years of Manchester City dominance to an end, having claimed 25 victories from their 34 Premier League matches so far this season.

Man City earned £176million in prize money last season following their title success, with that figure including facility fees and merit payments.

Liverpool will be in line for a similar windfall after being crowned English champions for the 20th time, drawing them level with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Slot’s side endured a mixed European campaign after finishing top of the revamped league phase of the Champions League before being knocked out in the last 16 by PSG.
