Wider concerns around church governance need to be addressed, says former senior Presbyterian ahead of Special General Assembly

A former Presbyterian elder who claims he was bullied by the church says it must consider wider issues of central governance as well as its admitted safeguarding failures.

Steven Smyrl was speaking ahead of a Special General Assembly in Belfast today, and claimed the church is facing the gravest crisis in its history.
