“This is a justice issue”
Trevor Morrow, retired, now speaking.
“I think it is inconceivable that under our watch the vulnerable were not safe,” he says.
“This is a justice issue, specifically for the weak, the vulnerable and the powerless. Of course we want to know that action is taken, that is justice.
“We should be held accountable. Reformed theology teaches a corporate responsibility is a greater reality than the individual modern Western world would have us believe.
“This is not a gathering of individuals, it is a body. We are coroprately responsible and true repentance means turning around from the direction we are going and have been going.
“As a church, we need to put in place structures and patterns that reflect a different culture. A justice that prioritises the weak, vulnerable and the powerless.”
