An air ambulance landed near a popular retail park following a serious incident on Friday afternoon. A large number of emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision in the car park of Parc Tawe retail park in Swansea city centre shortly after 2pm.
Personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, South Wales Police and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, where two casualties were trapped following a collision involving two cars.
Photos from the scene show an area near the Deichmann and Home Bargains stores blocked off by police and ambulance vehicles, as well as a fire engine while paramedics and the fire service treated the casualties.

One car appears to have crashed into the Deichmann store. A fire service spokesman said crews were involved in releasing two trapped casualties using e-draulic equipment.
A witness reported seeing the air ambulance land at the scene “after multiple police cars and first responders” arrived.
A fire service spokesman said: “At 2.12pm on Friday, December 19, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Swansea Central and Swansea West Fire Stations were called to an incident at the Parc Tawe North Retail Park in Swansea City Centre.
“Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving two private motor vehicles. Crews were involved in releasing two trapped casualties using e-draulic equipment.
“This incident required a multi-agency response, with South Wales Police and the Ambulance Service also in attendance. Crews left the scene at 2.45pm.”

A spokesman for the Wales Air Ambulance said: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in Swansea on Friday afternoon. Our Dafen crew attended by air and arrived on scene at 2.27pm. Our involvement concluded at 2.50pm.”
South Wales Police has been approached for a comment.
