Opening the iPhone Fold will apparently reveal a 7.76-inch main display with a resolution of 2,713 x 1,920 pixels, spanning an area of 167.6 x 120.6 mm (6.60 x 4.75 in). If accurate, this would make the device 24 mm (0.94 in) wider than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and give it a similar aspect ratio to the iPad mini, though the tablet is still slightly larger at 195.4 x 134.8 mm (7.69 x 5.31 in).
The images further indicate that the iPhone Fold measures 4.8 mm in thickness when opened – 0.6 mm thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold7, yet 0.8 mm thinner than the iPhone Air. Even though early rumours on upcoming Apple products should be treated with caution, speculations about the device’s unusually wide aspect ratio have persisted for months. The iPhone Fold is expected to be officially announced in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 series.
