Police issued an urgent appeal for help to trace a Wirral schoolgirl and a friend, who are missing and believed to be together. Chloe Kelly, 14, is missing from her home in Birkenhead.

Police said she is believed to be with a 15-year-old friend from Wigan named Nico. The friends were last seen at the home of one of Chloe’s relatives at 3.12am today, Saturday, December 20.

They have not been seen since, and police said they were increasingly concerned about them.

Chloe is described as a white female, 5ft 3in tall, with a slight build and blonde/brown hair. It is not known what she is wearing, police said.

Nico is described as a white male, 5ft 7in tall, medium build with, blue/green eyes and short brown hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit and grey Nike trainers.

Chloe is know to visit Liverpool city centre and Nico is known to visit the Wirral and Manchester areas. He is originally from Manchester.

A police spokesperson said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Chloe and Nico’s welfare, and are appealing for anyone who may have seen them to contact us on 999, so we can make sure they safe and well.”
