It’s the last weekend before Christmas and it’s set to be a busy one with last minute shopping and many people getting merry. Luckily, the weather outlook is looking alright for this time of year, although there may be some rain at points, dampening the festive mood.

Saturday will see sunny intervals with a low chance of rain and highs of 9C. The temperature will drop to 7C in the evening.

Sunday will be cloudy with temperatures rising to 10C by the afternoon. There is a high chance of rain through the evening.

The outlook for Greater Manchester next week is generally cloudy with highs of 10C and a low of 4C on Christmas Day.

Across the North West, Saturday will see prolonged sunny periods which may turn somewhat cloudier through the afternoon.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy and dull across the region with some spots of rain and drizzle at times. Winds are generally light.

According to the Met Office, the outlook for the start of next week is “Often cloudy and dull through this period with some rain and drizzle possible at first.” They added: “Gradually turning colder and possibly brighter with an easterly breeze developing.”
