The killer is on the loose

A man has been stabbed to death in West London. The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in Tollgate House, Tollgate Gardens in Maida Vale, at about 9.40pm last night (Friday, December 19).

There have been no arrests, so the killer is on the loose. Cops are also appealing to anyone with information or footage that could help them to come forward.

Investigation lead Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby said: “My thoughts are with the victim’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.

“Our investigation is continuing at pace as we work to establish the full circumstances around this incident. Were you in the area or on Tollgate Gardens on Friday, December 19?

“Do you have any mobile phone or dash cam footage of individuals in the area around the time of the incident?

“If so, please come forward and speak to police.

“I would also like to thank members of the local community for their patience while our enquires are ongoing, a number of cordons remain in place.”

This was the second killing in North West London in a short period of time yesterday, after a man was shot dead in Stonebridge.

The Met does not believe the two are linked.
