Police have issued an update as a search for a 15-year-old boy goes on. Nico, from Wigan, was reported missing last Saturday (December 13).
Greater Manchester Police says he is yet to return home as of this afternoon (Sunday), eight days on. He was seen with a friend in Birkenhead, on the Wirral, earlier this weekend.
Merseyside Police issued a joint appeal yesterday afternoon to find both Nico and his friend, 14-year-old Chloe. The pair had been seen at the home of one of Chloe’s relatives at 3.12am on Saturday morning, before they both disappeared.
In an update issued last night, Merseyside Police confirmed Chloe had been found, but said Nico was still missing. A force spokesperson said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Nico’s welfare, and are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to contact us on 999, so we can make sure he is safe and well.”
Nico, who is originally from Manchester, is described as being white, 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with blue/green eyes and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey Nike tracksuit and grey Nike trainers.
In an earlier appeal issued on Thursday, GMP said Nico had previously been seen on Oxford Street, in Leigh, at 5.50am last Saturday morning. He is known to have links to Wigan, Manchester, the Wirral and Runcorn, in Cheshire.
Any sightings of Nico should be reported to police on 999 as soon as possible. Other information can be passed on to GMP or Merseyside Police by calling 101.
Calls to GMP can also be made to 0161 856 7165, quoting log number 681 of December 13, 2025. In Merseyside, information can be submitted online here.
