Transport for Wales (TfW) has announced changes to train and bus services during Christmas and New Year.

Marie Daly, chief operating officer at Transport for Wales, said: “With essential engineering work taking place, planning ahead has never been more important.

“Our dedicated teams will be working throughout the festive season to keep services running across the Wales & Borders network and get passengers safely to their destinations.

“We thank everyone for their patience while we carry out the important work and wish all our passengers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

No train services or rail replacement buses will run on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

Services will finish earlier on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and start later on December 27.

On New Year’s Day, a full mainline service will operate.

Between December 29 and January 1, engineering works will take place between Whitland/Haverfordwest and Milford Haven.

Fflecsi and TrawsCymru bus services will also end early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, with no services operating on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.

However, the £1 fare on TrawsCymru routes after 5pm will remain in effect throughout December.

Passengers are encouraged to check journey details before travelling.
