The sudden death of a man in Belfast city centre on Monday is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the death at Stround Street in the Greet Victoria Street area on Monday morning, and remained there until the afternoon.

Police erected a screen at the entrance to Stround Street to block the view as they worked.

A number of ambulances were also called to the scene.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police attended the scene of a sudden death in the Great Victoria Street area of Belfast on Monday 22nd December. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
