An unmarked police car rolled over and was left badly damaged in a dramatic crash during a pursuit in Stockport. Officers were chasing a suspected stolen vehicle on Sunday evening (December 21).

Footage circulating online shows an unmarked Volkswagen with its blue flashing lights on. The Greater Manchester Police car appears to then overtake another car in the moments before the collision.

Sparks could be seen flying while the car appeared to be on its side after completing the manoeuvre, before landing back on its wheels. In a later clip, the VW could be seen severely damaged following the incident, with airbags deployed.
