EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has confirmed that there will be two returning characters in Walford – Ravi Gulati and Harry Mitchell – as a dangerous revenge plot kicks off. The pair left Albert Square in recent weeks following a dramatic storyline in which they were both involved in an illegal drug operation.
Ravi had been working alongside the dangerous Okie, who went to extreme lengths as he kidnapped Harry. Okie was eventually killed by Harry, with Ravi leaving his family for their own safety after he was beaten by criminals.
Harry, meanwhile, became addicted to drugs as he was held captive, with his plight worsening after his father Teddy took the blame for Okie’s death. At the request of his family, he subsequently checked himself into rehab in a bid to get clean.
In scenes set to air in the week commencing Monday 29 December, Harry will delight former flame Gina Knight as he returns home, though he stresses he needs to get his life in order before he can commit to a romantic relationship.

Despite vowing to clean up his act, Harry is consumed by anger as he sees Ravi reuniting with his family. Fresh from his horrific ordeal at the hands of Okie, Harry vows revenge against Ravi.
Another figure who is thrilled by Harry’s return is Kojo Asare, but Harry causes worry in his close friend when he expresses hatred for Ravi. Kojo insists that vengeance isn’t the way forward, and tries to calm him down.
Harry also reunites with his brother Barney, who has been living with his biological father Zack Hudson in recent weeks. Barney states his intention to stay there, but the meeting is cut short when Harry bumps into Ravi.
