A staple of British television for nearly three decades, Ant & Dec aren’t making plans to stop presenting any time soon, with the duo renewing their contract with ITV as they approach a major milestone.

Since their debut on Byker Grove in 1989, the beloved Geordie pair have thrilled viewers, presenting shows such as I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway.

This run will continue after it was confirmed that the presenters have signed a new contract with ITV. The contract will take them up to the end of 2028, marking their 30th anniversary with the broadcaster.

“We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our long standing and creative partnership with our friends at ITV,” said Ant in a statement, with Dec offering his own words following the announcement.

“We’re so lucky to work on some of the biggest and best TV shows and we’re proud of what we have achieved together with ITV over the years,” he said. “We’re excited for the future and looking forward to making more great entertainment together.”

“Ant & Dec’s impact upon the world of live entertainment is unrivalled, with their triumphant partnership reigning supreme for over three decades,” added Kevin Lygo, Managing Director for Media and Entertainment at ITV.

“This new three year working relationship marks an exciting new chapter with ITV, which I have no doubt will be full of yet more unmissable entertainment,” he continued, with the press release also mentioning the duo’s record 48 triumphs at the NTA’s.

While Ant & Dec’s future is secure for another three years, 2026 looks set to be a busy time for the pair as a host of shows hit the small screen, including Limitless Win and the second season of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa.

Furthermore, there will be the next iteration of Britain’s Got Talent, while the regular version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will likely return in November with its 26th season.
