Call of Duty is coming to the Nintendo Switch, after being announced for the platform back in 2023, and it’s coming much sooner than you think.
CoD isn’t exactly a small or forgiving game for a portable platform, which is why it’s been released on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC for so many years, with a few smaller releases on mobile for those wanting to dive into Warzone.
Well, now the Nintendo Switch 2 is here, bringing higher specs and hardware than can handle the fast-paced action Call of Duty brings. However, there’s never been a release date for the game’s arrival on the Switch 2. That is, until it was revealed to be coming very soon.

Of course, no release date has been confirmed by Activision or Nintendo, but it certainly looks like we’ll be getting a portable CoD very soon in 2026.

Whether that game is Black Ops 7, Warzone, or an older game released in the last few years is yet to be seen. Many speculate it’ll be Warzone given its compatibility on mobile and slightly slower pace, while others hope it’ll be Black Ops 7 so they can head into the new maps and zombie games, but nothing has been confirmed yet. All we know is that fans may be seeing Call of Duty on the Switch 2 very soon.
