West Yorkshire Police were called to the scene just after 9pm last night to reports that men were trying to steal a cash machine at Denbrook Filling Station on Tong Street.

Pictures on social media showed a cash machine had been ripped out at the petrol station.

A police cordon was also put in place as officers began their investigation.

In a full statement this morning, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “At 9.19pm yesterday (Monday), police received a report of men trying to steal a cash machine at Denbrook Filling Station in Tong Street, Bradford.  

“Officers responded and found that significant damage had been caused to the machine. 

“No injuries were reported and it is not believed that any cash was taken.  

“Bradford CID is investigating the matter. 

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at around the time of this incident, or anyone with information or footage which may assist is asked to contact the team on 101, or by using the livechat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.  

“The crime reference number is 13250733775. 

“Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.”
