The January transfer window is fast approaching, and while Leeds United are ending 2025 in brilliant form, fans would suggest the club still require more options in the final third.
In the final days of the summer window, Leeds tried to bring in an attacking midfielder. One able to play out wide but had the technical ability to create goals and chances out of nothing. However, they failed.
Would you sign Harry Wilson next summer, when his contract ends? 🪄
He’s still out of contract.

Facundo Buonanotte joined Chelsea after Leeds had struck a deal, before Harry Wilson remained with Fulham. Wilson has spoken of how close Leeds came to signing him before Fulham blocked his move.
The chances are then that when the January window opens, Leeds will want a player like Wilson. Como have rejected an approach from Leeds for Martin Baturina, but perhaps, Wilson himself is available.

Fulham are hardly going to sell to Leeds at the moment, given that Fulham are only four points ahead of Leeds and the two clubs are both trying to avoid the drop. But a big offer may tempt the Fulham board.
Wilson hinted at being open to a January exit, if he is playing regularly ahead of the World Cup with Wales and Leeds would certainly offer him that. Having spoken about Leeds, he opened the January door.
Robbie Evans said Wilson wanted to join Leeds in the summer, hardly a surprise given the amount of Wales colleagues he would have at Elland Road. It is almost as if Wilson is telling Leeds, come and get me.

If that is the case, and there is any chance that Leeds could sign Wilson, they have to try. This is a player that has had a hand in eight goals in 16 Premier League games, a player capable of producing magic.

Fulham stance on Harry Wilson exit, as per David Ornstein
With Wilson’s future still in doubt given his contract expires next summer, David Ornstein has issued Fulham’s stance on a potential January move for the former Liverpool playmaker, with Leeds on alert.
Ornstein said: “A lot of clubs are looking at him. He’s more likely to leave as a free agent, maximise his earnings, which wouldn’t be great for Fulham, but they would maximise his footballing ability.”
Leeds could well sign Wilson but as Ornstein states, it is more likely to be on a free transfer at the end of the season. But if Leeds can tempt Wilson in January, then he might attempt to force his way out Fulham.
If Leeds sign Wilson, not only does it vastly improve their chances of survival but it also hampers Fulham’s attempts to withdraw themselves from the relegation scrap. Wilson’s hint at an exit should tempt Leeds.
