The Liverpool Winter Festival will be open on Christmas Day for a special reason – to offer free hot meals to anyone who may be spending the day alone or going through a difficult time. The magical Christmas event is set against the stunning backdrop of the Three Graces and city’s waterfront. One of the event’s biggest attractions is a giant ice rink, which offers a skate with Grinch experience available to book.
In its first year, the festival has transformed Liverpool’s Pier Head into a Christmas village with rides, street food, themed grottos, tipis, and a Bavarian bar. Entry is free, and the festival runs until Sunday, January 4 2026.
Liverpool Winter Festival has confirmed today (December 24) that from 12pm until 2pm on Christmas day its Yorkshire pudding wrap stand will serve complimentary Christmas dinner wraps, including turkey and all the trimmings.
There is no need to book, and no questions will be asked.

Alex and Kennedy Crow, Managing Directors of Crow Leisure Group said: “Christmas can be lonely for some, and we wanted to do something to make the day a little brighter.
“We’ve received such a warm welcome from the people of Liverpool, and what stands out most is the community spirit here, which is why we’re giving something back.
“Whether it’s a hot meal, skating on the ice, or just enjoying the festive lights, we hope everyone feels welcome here at Liverpool Winter Festival on Christmas Day.”

The festival is run by Crow Leisure Group, a family-owned events company behind some of the UK’s largest and most popular seasonal attractions.
The ice rink will also be open on Christmas Day, from 12pm to 5pm, with entry pay on the door (£12 per person, card only) and no pre-booking required. Minimum age is four years. It is also expected that the Star Flyer and the Apres Ski Party will be open.
Alex and Kennedy added: “We hope that by opening our doors on Christmas Day, people can enjoy a little festive cheer. Christmas is about togetherness, and we want everyone to feel part of the celebration.”
