Police have locked down a park in Glasgow southside after a person was ‘raped’ in the early hours on Christmas Eve. The incident is said to have happened between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday, December 24.

We previously told how a “huge cordon” had been erected at the popular park as part of a police probe. An eyewitness reported seeing a large emergency presence at the scene this afternoon.

Police Scotland have confirmed the force is investigating a serious sexual assault.

A spokesperson said: “We are investigating a reported serious sexual assault in the Queen’s Park area of Glasgow, which is believed to have taken place between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday, 24 December, 2025.

“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and there remains a police presence in the area.”
