A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Birmingham last weekend.

A man was found with serious injuries in Swanage Road, Small Heath, at around 6.40pm on Saturday (20 December).

Kiirpaal Nhian, aged 29, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Following enquiries yesterday, West Midlands Police detained a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder and possession of a knife.

Abdou Sillah, of Birmingham, has now been charged with the offences.

He has been remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 26 December.
