A POPULAR New York-style pizza joint is set to open a new location in Glasgow – and it’s promised to be its biggest one yet.
Sear’s Pizza, well-known for selling pizza by the slice, will open its third venue in the city on Christmas Eve.

The brand is inspired by similar joints in the Big Apple, and customers can buy a huge slice for just £2.
The pizza chain already has two other Scottish branches.
One is located on Marchmont Road in Edinburgh, and another on Chancellor Street in the west end of Glasgow.
The new Glasgow site will mark its second venue in the city and will be located in the southside.

Loyal fans will be able to find it on Skirving Street in Shawlands when it first opens its doors in two days.
Bosses have revealed that it will open for one day on Wednesday, December 24, to make sure everything is running correctly.
It will then close on Christmas and Boxing Day before opening again on Saturday, December 27.
Staff will serve customers between 12pm and 9pm until Tuesday, December 30, when it shuts again for the New Year.
Sear’s Pizza will then open as normal on Saturday, January 3, with its normal operating hours across seven days a week.
The new venue is set to be the pizza joint’s biggest premises yet, with a larger space and room for home delivery.
It will offer classic hand-tossed, thin-crust slices with the feel of an ’80s New York-style pizza joint.
The interior has exposed brick, wood panelled walls, an 80’s style menu board, a self-serve soda fountain, NYC imagery, hand-painted signage, neon signs, counter service and a case filled with pizza pies.
There will also be two booths at the window, outdoor tables and a canopy for cover from the rain and shade from the sun in the summer.
The menu includes six different delicious pizza options as well as regular specials with slices starting from just £2 each.
And with a bigger kitchen, Sear’s will now be available for delivery via UberEats.
A spokesperson said: “Glasgow pizza lovers, rejoice! Sear’s Pizza is bringing a slice of New York to Shawlands!
“Now it’s time to hit Glasgow’s south side with their authentic, no-frills NYC-style pizza by the slice.”
They added: “Whether you’re in the mood for a quick slice or a full 18-inch pie, Sear’s is the perfect hangout for your lunch break, a casual dinner or a late-night bite.”
