Police have issued an appeal on Christmas Day to find a missing man from Greater Manchester. People are being urged to look out for Gavin, who was last seen two days ago, at 9.57pm on Tuesday night (December 23).

The 46-year-old was on Church Street in Littleborough, near Rochdale, at the time. He is described as being white, 5ft 8ins tall and with a stubbly brown/grey beard.

Gavin was last seen wearing a cream sweater, green coat and dark jeans. A photo of Gavin has been issued by GMP this evening (December 25) as part of an urgent appeal to find him.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about him and want to make sure he is safe and well.” Gavin’s surname has not been given by GMP.

Anyone who sees Gavin or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to call GMP on 101, quoting log number 991 of December 25, 2025. In an emergency situation, dial 999.
