Dessert bar sensation Cheat Daze has officially landed in Liverpool. The brand is no stranger to going viral and is loved by customers nationwide.

The company has enjoyed success in Oldham, Blackburn, Bramhall, and Burnage for several years. Now, Cheat Daze has finally arrived in the city, choosing Smithdown Road as its home for the first Merseyside site.

The sweet parlour, situated by the street’s Pizza Hut, prides itself on offering a “legendary” range of desserts for collection and delivery. Its best sellers include waffle balls, San Sebastian cheesecake, chocolate brownies, and a cup of daze. However, the menu also includes ice cream sundaes, pancakes, milkshakes, and chai.

Franchisees Danyal Osman, 25, and Irfan Patel, 39, told the ECHO: “This is a great opportunity to bring Cheat Daze to the local Liverpool communities. We are excited to be part of the fast-growing dessert chain. The menu is legendary and is really setting the dessert agenda here in the UK.”

The Liverpool store opened over the weekend and is available to visit from 4pm to 2am Monday to Friday. Cheat Daze was founded by Muhammad Abdullah.

He said: “We are delighted to be bringing Cheat Daze to the Liverpool area and we are confident of its success in the hands of our new Franchisees. We have a deep understanding of our products and consumer trends through our connection with our customers and a real passion for getting our ideas to market.”

Cheat Daze is known for staying on top of viral trends, especially on TikTok. A lot of their videos have previously been commented on by foodies demanding the venue comes to their city next. A handful of social media personalities visited the store for its opening, with many saying the same thing: “Finally, it’s about time”.

The news comes after a new speciality coffee shop recently opened on the same road. Sips & Stories sells coffee, loose-leaf tea, and a variety of sweet and savoury pastries.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, the venue is next door to Frankie’s Paint-It Pottery and the Smithdown Road branch of Subway. The menu includes spinach and feta, chicken and vegetable pastries, and bagels stuffed with turkey and cream cheese.

The new coffee shop’s owners are working closely with Wirral-based coffee roaster Adams & Russell, which is affiliated with Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and Women’s Cooperatives. You can read more about it here.
