A body has been found in the search for a missing Co Down man.
Bryn Williams was last seen in Groomsport on Saturday, December 6.
Belfast’s Community Rescue Service (CRS) said that a member of the public discovered a body in Groomsport on St Stephen’s Day.
“Police can confirm that the body of a man was found in Groomsport earlier today, Friday 26th December,” a PSNI spokesperson said.
“Formal identification will take place in due course; however the family of missing person Bryn Williams has been made aware.”
“We regret to inform you that a body has been located by a member of the public in the North Down area,” a Community Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“For the past number of days CRS had been deployed to the area alongside our NISAR colleagues from Coastguard, PSNI, RNLI to an ongoing search.
“The management and volunteers of the Community Rescue Service extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased.”
