It’s always a blockbuster when the Edinburgh giants face off – but this one feels even bigger.

Hearts go into the capital showdown as league leaders having only suffered one defeat so far this season. A victory over their rivals would see them extend their advantage over Celtic to nine points – at least temporarily.

But for Hibs it’s a chance to derail their rivals momentum. David Gray has insisted it’s “too early” for their rivals to be considered title challengers – despite a series of big results and performances.

He can now back that up at Easter Road as he looks for revenge after a late Craig Halkett header in October earned bragging rights in the first capital clash of the season. But will Derek McInnes and his troops secure a crucial victory?

It promises to be a festive cracker and has all the information you need ahead of the showdown.
