One of the brides from the 2025 series of Married At First Sight UK has revealed to her followers a personal ‘struggle’ she’s been facing, just weeks after filming wrapped.

Abigail Lindsay married John Shepherd and from day one, the couple appeared to be a perfect pairing, professing their love within mere weeks of meeting.

The duo successfully navigated their way to the Final Vows ceremony, where they discussed their shared future, and remained one of the few surviving couples at the final reunion show.

Weeks later, Abigail and John continue to appear utterly smitten and are now the sole remaining couple from the 2025 series who are still an item. Recently, she delighted fans by sharing a snapshot of them both sporting coordinated Christmas pyjamas.

However, the reality TV star also made a heartfelt confession to her supporters about a personal battle, prompting an outpouring of encouragement from her fanbase, reports OK!

Sharing on Instagram, Abigail wrote: “This season I’m trying not to feel guilty for enjoying food. I’ve struggled with that for a long time and honestly it still pops up occasionally, but I’ve made progress.”

She continued: “I’m choosing joy over guilt, enjoying the food, the wine and time with my loved ones.”

Supporters rallied around her, with one follower responding: “Im also choosing joy over guilt this year! Merry Christmas.”

Another added: “Your absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Enjoy a few treats. Have a lovely Christmas and New year.”

A third supporter encouraged: “Good for you, it’s hard, but you also have to live and enjoy life.”

Meanwhile, a fourth chimed in: “Have a lovely Christmas together and enjoy wine and nibbles.”

While Abigail and John remain firmly committed to each other, another solid pairing – Rebecca Fenney and Bailey Smith – left fans stunned when they recently revealed their separation following the programme’s finale.

Just weeks after their breakup announcement, Rebecca made headlines again by confirming she’s found love with a new partner – a woman.

In a lengthy public statement, dad-of-one Bailey addressed rumours surrounding infidelity as the cause of their split, declaring: “I want to make it very clear, I never cheated on Bec at any point. I didn’t handle our break up well and for that I’m truly sorry to Bec, but I was completely loyal the whole way through our relationship.”

Rebecca took to TikTok on December 18 to reveal her new romantic interest is Liverpool FC player Lily Woodham. In the heartfelt video, Rebecca shared: “In your thirties a girl will come into your life when you least expect it.”

She continued: “You’ll question everything you’ve ever known about yourself. Who you are, what you are, how this feels so right? It’s important you don’t try and fight it. Let love in.”
