Coronation Street Megan actress’ real age revealed as fans sickened by grooming twist
Coronation Street newbie Beth Nixon is at the centre of a harrowing grooming storyline – but how old is the actress?
Beth made her debut on the long-running ITV soap this year, as the athletics coach of youngster Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).
Ben moved from Hull to Weatherfield with his dad Ben (Aaron McCusker), grandmother Maggie (Pauline McLynn) and his dad’s girlfriend, and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).
However, it was later revealed that Megan has been grooming 15-year-old Will for months, prior to his move. Their secret relationship has gone unnoticed so far and Will’s family are none the wiser about Megan’s true colours.

In recent weeks, Megan moved to the cobbles too, and bagged a job at Weatherfield High School. She has also struck up a romance with fellow teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) – much to Will’s anger and jealousy.
And after Will turned 16 last week, Megan slept with him, and was almost caught by Ben and Will’s brother Ollie (Raphael Akuwudik). She also spent Christmas with Will and his family at the Rovers.

As for actress Beth, Corrie is her first-ever TV role four years after she graduated from college. The newcomer celebrated her 25th birthday in July this year and shared a snap on Instagram.
Meanwhile, talking about playing Megan, newcomer Beth previously told Metro: “Megan is very calculated. Everything she does is for a reason, but she’s very good at hiding that. She’s very insecure, but again, she hides it. So she’s very confident and charismatic on the outside; she charms people, she makes people feel sorry for her, she makes people like her.

“She’s worming her way into this family; she’s almost like a parasite. But as an actor, I obviously need to find that humanity in her and make her a rounded character. She’s not a one-dimensional character. She’s not just this evil person.”
Beth continued: “She has all these other things going on—all these life experiences she’s had, which have led her up to this point. The audience doesn’t know, the other characters don’t know, but she knows. So, there are all these things I’ve decided in my preparation.”
